It looks like they are also working on another building next to Seaham Contact Centre, I believe it is suppose to be the new DWP building and hopefully it should have some decent bits to ride once it’s finished.

These plans include Chris Souter, we spoke not so long ago and I mentioned that I was going to come and kidnap him for a day to go ride some untouched spots and some old favourites too.

Personally I can’t wait to go out filming with Chris, it’s always a laugh and no-doubt he’ll be itching to get back on a bike after such a long time out. He seems very enthusiastic about this so it should be a good day!

I’ve owned many different setups over the years..
Haro, Hoffman, Fly Bikes and Mankind are just a few of the brands I’ve been lucky enough to ride but I’ve got to say that no frame has felt as natural and ‘easy’ to ride as the Benny L.

I’ve known Ben a few years now since he came to Seaham with Chris Souter years ago and rode some of the street we have to offer. (which isn’t much)

When it was announced that Ben was on the fit pro team I was over the moon for him and couldn’t wait get my hands on his sig frame. Needless to say when I saw one for sale in pretty much mint-condition on the Streetphire message board I snapped one up!

Anyway down to the review..

It seems a very simple, no-frills, tough street/park frame. It looks like Fit have worked with Ben to create an affordable, great quality product.
If you’ve seen a Benny L edit, you’ll know that he puts his bikes though some pretty tough tests, so don’t worry!

The Benny L is made from Super-therm, heated 4130 with a very short 13″ rear end and a 69 degree seat tube angle. The frame benefits from tapered and swagged rear stays with maximum tyre clearance and micro 4QBaked 14mm dropouts.

Colour options: Black, Brown or Liverpool red.

I’ve been riding my Benny L frame for over a year now and it’s been fantastic, no signs of cracks or manufacturers faults. Personally I would recommend this frame to anyone!

Here’s a few of my favourites:

I spotted these one day at work while I was in Washington and had to take a quick snap. I’ll be returning to these at a later date when the weather gets a bit warmer and I’ve got a few other spots I can’t wait to hit up with the lads.
This summer expect to see a lot more from us here at SR7 BMX.

I went down the park yesterday and was very surprised at how quickly some of the younger lads have progressed..

It’s great to see that some of the lads at the park are still out in wind, rain and freezing cold temperatures. A few lads are getting their bars and whips dialled, others are focusing on more technical stuff. I try to get down the park as often as I can these days but I’ve been down a few times, I’m always plagued with injuries and my old bones don’t last too long in this cold weather. It makes me wish I was young again and had all the time in the world to just go out and ride, I remember about 7 or 8 years ago when all the lads used to meet at ‘The Courts’ and ride street in Seaham, 9 times out of 10 the weather would be crap and there wasn’t much to offer street-wise, but we made the most of what we had to offer and enjoyed it.

My point is, it’s good to see younger generations learning new tricks and enjoying riding their bikes no-matter what the weather is like, to me that’s real dedication.

Anyway.. I’ve been told the younger lads have been filming for a new edit that should drop some time this summer, I’ll be helping with the filming and I might have a few clips in of myself, by the looks of the speed these lads are progressing I think it’ll be great edit!

We had the camera with us at 5 B’s and took a few photos but we decided not to take the camera out at Penshaw because there were a lot of scally looking kids about and it could easily of went walkies.. Only a few photos, nothing spectacular but I thought I’d share them.
